Heating a house: looking for the best option

11.03.2021

Creating a high-quality, reliable heating system matters to every country house owner. Unlike in an apartment building, this becomes the owner's personal responsibility: the heating system has to be not only reliable but also economical, convenient to use and not require constant attention.
Water heating is the most widespread in Russia. But when choosing a water heating source, many country house owners ask: what type of boiler is best?
Heating a house with an electric boiler is quite expensive, and if there is an accident at a power plant, you can be left without heat for a long time.
With a gas boiler, the whole system has to be constantly monitored to prevent leaks, which can lead to a gas explosion. In addition, installing a gas boiler requires approval from the gas supplier, a design and subsequent inspections. Most importantly, not every settlement has access to a gas connection.

Liquid fuel boilers, for example diesel ones, require a good natural or forced ventilation system, as the diesel tank may give off an unpleasant smell. In addition, the fuel must be of good quality, otherwise over time the burner may start to smoke and the heat exchangers or combustion chamber parts may become dirty. Repairs will then be required.

Pellet boilers were long considered an "expensive luxury", especially imported ones. Based on its own developments and continuous improvement of production technologies, the FACI plant has made pellet boilers reasonably priced and affordable for everyone.
Let's look at the advantages of the FACI pellet boiler:

  • Cheap fuel. Compared with electricity or diesel, heating with pellets is much more cost-effective. Savings compared with electric heating reach up to 3 times;
  • Controllability. FACI boilers can automatically maintain the required temperature, including depending on the time of day and the outdoor air temperature
  • Autonomy. Just load the required amount of fuel and, depending on the capacity of the fuel hopper, the boiler will keep running.
  • Environmental friendliness. No harmful emissions or unpleasant odours in the house at all.
  • Easy installation. Just connect the boiler to the heating system and the chimney.
  • Versatility. Instead of pellets, firewood chopped to the required fraction can be used as fuel.
  • Safety. The boilers are absolutely safe to operate. The safest fuel feed system. The twin-auger, twin-gearbox fuel feed is the safest, time-tested and complies with European fire safety standards for private housing, unlike other fuel feeds. The unique operating algorithm of the twin-auger, twin-gearbox fuel feed developed by FACI reliably prevents hopper fires. The boiler casing does not get hot and is absolutely safe for small children and pets.

The FACI plant will help you choose a boiler to suit your requirements and find a dealer in your region who will teach you how to use the boiler, can carry out the necessary commissioning and show you how to adjust the boiler for the required operation. We also advise customers whenever they have questions.

Popularity of pellet fuel in Europe

Pellet production uses the huge volumes of logging waste left after trees are felled. Collecting logging waste and processing it into something useful makes the most of the forest resources used. Unlike burning hydrocarbons, burning pellets does not increase the amount of carbon dioxide released into the air. So by using pellets as fuel, people do no additional harm to the environment.

The second example of the environmental friendliness of pellet fuel is the absence of odour during combustion. Unlike other natural energy sources, pellets contain nothing but wood, so even close to burning pellets you will smell neither odour nor smoke.

The safest
fuel feed system

The twin-auger, twin-gearbox fuel feed is the safest, time-tested and complies with European fire safety standards for private housing, unlike other fuel feeds.

The unique operating algorithm of the twin-auger, twin-gearbox fuel feed developed by FACI reliably prevents hopper fires.

Cast iron pixel retort burner

The pixel retort burner is the only burner in the world whose pixels can be partially replaced when the burner burns out. This significantly reduces the customer's boiler repair costs.

Cylindrical heat exchanger

Italian heating engineers have developed the ideal heat exchanger shape, which ensures the maximum possible heat transfer to the heat carrier, as the flame envelops (flows around) the cylindrical heat exchanger. This allows us to achieve the highest possible efficiency — 93 per cent — and save the customer's fuel. Our heat exchanger design is unique and has no corners, and it is the corners that burn out first and shorten the boiler's service life.

FACI boilers use environmentally friendly raw materials

Our boilers are designed for any fuel — pellets, coal, wood chips
and biomass (wood, husks, maize and much more). The carbon dioxide produced during combustion is equivalent to that absorbed from the atmosphere during plant growth and is now returned
to the environment; hence the final emission balance is zero. A biomass plant significantly reduces emissions of carbon dioxide and fine dust and makes you independent
from fossil fuels.
