Pellet heating cost calculator

Set the region, floor area and prices — the calculator estimates the cost of 1 kWh of heat from a FACI pellet boiler, compares it with diesel, gas and electricity, and selects a boiler model for your building. The calculation is based on the regional climate and specific heat load.

⚠️
This is a preliminary estimate for guidance, not a thermal engineering calculation. Actual output and fuel consumption depend on the building design, ceiling height, insulation, glazing, ventilation, hot water supply and operating mode — the calculator does not take all the specifics of your building into account. An accurate boiler house design calculation is carried out by a design organisation. We will help you choose a boiler and configuration for your needs.
Proven on real sites

From Murmansk to Krasnodar — FACI boiler houses operate all over Russia. These are real sites of our customers with actual figures.

How we calculate. Volumetric method based on the specific heating characteristic: heat per season E = q × V × HDD × 24, where V = floor area × ceiling height (m³), q is the specific heating characteristic (0.40–0.72 W/m³·°C depending on building insulation), HDD is the heating degree-days of the region (official data of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation by region; e.g. Chelyabinsk Region — 4895, Moscow — 3115, Krasnodar Territory — 2016, Yakutia — 9185). Peak boiler output ≈ E ÷ 2000 h with a margin. Pellet consumption = E ÷ (4.8 kWh/kg × efficiency). Cost of 1 kWh of heat from pellets = price ÷ (4.8 × efficiency); diesel — price per litre ÷ (10 kWh/l × efficiency 0.9); gas — price ÷ (9.5 kWh/m³ × 0.92); electric — 100% efficiency. Default prices are approximate (2026 Russian market) — enter your own. The calculation is for reference only.
