FACI recently completed a large project to set up a 430 kW boiler house for heating production premises. Two FACI-215 pellet boilers in the Classico configuration were chosen as the heat source.
To automate the process, a large outdoor hopper for 15 tonnes of pellets with a removable top cover was built,
which made it possible to load pellets straight from big bags using a truck crane. Pellets are fed from the outdoor hopper by a six-metre shaftless auger with a diameter of 125 mm. This happens automatically under the control of operators.
Flue gases are discharged through a 10-metre insulated chimney mounted on trusses with universally adjustable support legs, which made installation faster and more accurate. The boilers were connected to the heating system via a common 500 kW hydraulic separator.
The agro-pellets used here are made from sunflower husks with an ash content of 7-8%.
The boilers handle pellets of this quality with ease, as FACI boilers were developed in Italy, where pellets are made from olive pomace.
Modern boiler equipment, GSM units and internet modules make it possible to monitor boiler operation remotely and adjust the temperature according to the weather.
FACI boilers mean modern, high-tech and reliable heating for production premises.
