Automatically fed pellet boilers

An automatically fed pellet boiler is a solid fuel heating boiler in which wood fuel granules (pellets) are fed automatically from the hopper to the burner by an auger mechanism, without human involvement. The efficiency of these boilers reaches 93%, output ranges from 10 to 1500 kW, and the flue gas temperature is 100–200 °C. In terms of efficiency, pellet boilers are comparable to natural gas boilers and are in demand where there is no mains gas or connecting to it is not economically viable.

The design includes a fuel hopper of 300 to 2500 litres, an auger feed, a volumetric burner, a cylindrical heat exchanger and a control system with temperature sensors. The electronics monitor the heat carrier temperature and automatically meter the pellet feed, switching to maintenance mode when necessary. With additional DI STRADA hoppers of 7 to 22 m³, heating becomes fully automatic — the boiler is supplied with fuel from a single hopper load for a long time.

What is the efficiency of a FACI pellet boiler?
The efficiency of FACI boilers is 93%. Under the European standard DIN EN 303:5-2012, the highest class 5 is assigned to boilers with an efficiency of at least 89% across the entire operating range. High efficiency is achieved thanks to the cylindrical heat exchanger without corners, the cast iron pixel retort burner and automatic fuel feed.

Which is better: a pellet boiler or a gas boiler?
If the site has mains gas, a gas boiler is usually cheaper to run. A pellet boiler is chosen where there is no mains gas or connecting to it is not economically viable. In terms of efficiency, FACI pellet boilers with 93% efficiency are comparable to modern gas boilers, while requiring no gas infrastructure or gas supply design.

How do the Base, Classico and Ottima configurations differ?
Base is the basic configuration: Wi-Fi/Ethernet module and smartphone control. Classico adds automatic ignition. Ottima offers extended automation: automatic ignition and automatic heat exchanger cleaning, plus automatic ash removal on models from 42 kW. FACI GT is available only in the Ottima configuration, FACI 1500 in Base and Classico.

Can a FACI pellet boiler be fired with firewood or coal?
Yes, all FACI models except the FACI GT (which runs only on pellets) can use firewood and coal up to 25 mm as backup fuel. The main mode is pellets with automatic feed. Backup fuel is loaded manually when pellets are unavailable or temporarily out of stock.

Which hopper should I choose for a FACI pellet boiler?
Basic models come with a fuel hopper of 300 l (FACI GT), 500 l (FACI 15-258), 1000 l (FACI 386-761), 2000 l (FACI 1000) or 2500 l (FACI 1500). For greater autonomy, an additional DI STRADA outdoor hopper of 7, 12, 17 or 22 m³ can be installed.

What certificates do FACI boilers have?
FACI-RUS PLANT LLC production is certified to the international quality standard GOST R ISO 9001-2015 (ISO 9001:2015). In addition, FACI boilers hold the "ECOproMBEZOPASNOST" environmental safety certificate (valid until 09.09.2027), a fire safety certificate and a declaration of conformity with the Customs Union Technical Regulations TR CU 010/2011 and TR CU 020/2011.

Production takes place at two sites: in Italy (Via Padre Ugolino Frasca, CAP 66100, Chieti Scalo, since 1961) and in Russia (Stroitelnaya St., Chelyabinsk, since 2014).
